Breaking the Habit of Unreliable Braking Systems

We can greatly appreciate tremendous benefits of motorcycle brakes when faced with the one of our most nerve-racking and supposed to be dreadful journey. This is the reason why we need to maintain properly.

We must ensure that it will not keep us depending on whenever we need it. It can turn out to be our last feasible resort - there is no second chances because what we can be battling in the situation is our loved one's life or our very life.

Every part of the brakes must be inspected carefully to avoid troublesome incidents in the future. We also need to consider the brakes' good wear characteristics, kind - whether OEM or an aftermarket motorcycle parts, its prices and of course its function and performance.

According to experts, the best motorcycle brake is that of an OEM. That is true. However, there are aftermarket motorcycle brakes that are equal to the OEM's quality but lower in prices. When you know you have a better choice, why will you settle for less? Why not take the opportunity to have the best?

The common motorcycle brake pad design depends upon the disparaging process of dragging the pad against the disc to create the heat or friction in order for the bike to stop. For the braking fluid not to boil or denigrate, heat must be dissipated. Thus, the pad has to have a lot of 'fill' material for heat dissipation and the friction portion of the pad chemistry must be very severe. This will reduce the amount of actual friction-producing material. Nonetheless, this may lead to short rotor life, noise, brake "dusting" degradation, and reduced effectiveness of the pad itself.

There are other manufacturers that run a completely different principle in creating bike's friction. The brake pad material is adequately heated to embed into the brake disc. This transfer of material from the brake pad to disc continues as long as the pad is in use. Cushioning effects will become apparent as the use of embedded material gets thicker. This effect dampens the tendency for the friction materials to seize the rotor. The system is called the carbon brake system.

Bear in mind that a very good motorcycle brake conditions has a good bite, dissipates heat well, and is durable. These quality should be the basis in choosing your brakes. This is the neutral ground where we decide what brakes to use for our bikes.

1-Tonne Giant Crocodile Have Been Captured Alive in Philippines

A giant crocodile weighing over one-tonne have been captured alive by the villagers in the Philippines, and they planned to make it as a tourist attraction in a town in the southern Philippines.

Mayor Edwin Cox Elorde said that the male croc was captured in a creek in Bunawan township in the province of Agusan del Sur by several dozen villagers who had been pursuing it for three weeks. With 21-foot long (6.4 meters) and weighs about 2,370 pounds (1,075 kilograms), a crocodile expert said it could be one of the largest to be captured alive in recent years. It allegedly killed a water buffalo last month, as well as a fisherman in July.

The Associated Press quotes Elorde as saying, "We were nervous but it's our duty to deal with a threat to the villagers… When I finally stood before it, I couldn't believe my eyes."

In an attempt to catch the crocodile, the villagers set four different traps in the creek, all of which have been destroyed by that giant reptile. They were finally able to set a sturdier trap using steel cables to catch it successfully.

After being pulled by more than 100 people out from the creek and lifted by crane into a truck, it has been placed in a fenced area where an eco-tourism park is designated to be built, planning to exhibit the species found in wetlands area in Agusan.

Elorde said that the villagers are happy to turn the crocodile into an asset rather than a threat, and believe it will be "the biggest star of the park."

Missing iPhone Prototype - Police Help Apple

San Francisco police have assisted Apple in the search for a prototype of the latest iPhone that went astray in a bar in a repeat of an embarrassing loss that took place last year.

An Apple employee lost a yet-to-be-released iPhone 5 in a tequila bar in San Francisco's Mission District in July, technology news site CNET reported this week.

After the device was electronically tracked using GPS technology to a San Francisco house, four police officers and two Apple employees visited the home, the San Francisco police said in a statement distributed to news outlets.

"Apple employees called Mission police station directly, wanting assistance in tracking down a lost item," the press release said.

"The two Apple employees met with the resident and then went into the house to look for the lost item," it said. "The Apple employees did not find the lost item and left the house."

The statement did not identify the item being searched for but the title of the document carried a tantalizing hint: iPhone5.doc.

A resident of the home, Sergio Calderon, 22, told SF Weekly that he has visited the bar where the phone was reportedly lost but he did not have the device. He said the search of his house took place in July.

Cupertino, California-based Apple began selling the iPhone 4 last year and is expected to unveil the latest model, the iPhone 5, in September or October.

Word of another unreleased iPhone model disappearing in a bar came just weeks after prosecutors decided not to pursue criminal charges against Gizmodo technology bloggers who got hold of a lost iPhone 4 prototype last year.

Gizmodo published pictures and details of the iPhone prototype after buying it for $5,000 from a man who claimed to have found it in a beer garden where it was lost by an Apple software engineer.

Criminal charges have been filed against the man who purportedly found the iPhone 4 prototype and another who brokered the deal to sell it to Gizmodo.

The pair pleaded not guilty on Thursday to misdemeanor charges in San Mateo County Superior Court.

What Is Vitamin D and It’s Benefits?

Vitamin D is an integral part of a healthy diet. New benefits of this vitamin are being discovered every day, but many people do not receive enough vitamin D to reap the wonderful benefits of it can provide for their health. Vitamin D is best known for his contributions to the health of joints and bones by helping the body absorb calcium. It has been shown that those who take sufficient vitamin D are less likely to have osteoporosis and arthritis. This vitamin can also slow the affects of arthritis and reduces back pain in many individuals. Research has shown that vitamin D may also help in preventing certain types of cancer.

Vitamin D is one of the only vitamins produced naturally by the body. However, in order for the body to produce vitamin D, it has to be exposed to a sufficient amount of sunlight. Generally, one hour per week more than enough, but surprisingly, many people are not exposed to sufficient sunlight to produce useful amounts of vitamin D. Also, research has shown that as we age, we tend to produce significantly less vitamin D even with the sun exposure. These are the main reasons why many adults to monitor their diet to make sure they take enough vitamin D.

Milk is usually enriched with vitamin D, and you can also find a good amount of vitamin D in several types of fish that are rich in omega-3 fatty acids. Cod liver oil is a herbal supplement that is rich in vitamin D. Vitamin D supplements can be also widely available.

Although it is important to have sufficient vitamin D in your diet, it is possible to take too much vitamin D. This frequently happens when an individual receives a number of good sun exposure and take a lot of food containing a moderate amount of vitamin D, but also continues to take supplements of vitamin D. For this reason, it is important to discuss with your doctor whether or not you need extra vitamin D supplement as part of your diet.

6 Headaches You Are Not Supposed to Ignore It

Recall the good old days when doctors made house calls? Yes, I do not either. But it sounded awesome: There is no waiting room. No irritation welcome. No parade of nurses, residents and other strangers poking you. It’s only you and your doctor, in the privacy of your own home.

One of the most prolific top docs is TE Holt, M.D., a physician at the University Of North Carolina School Of Medicine. He's always insightful, as he exerted any keywords that you can say to get doctor’s attention or explaining how to impress a physician who does not know what he's doing.

Recently, Dr. Holt wrote about one of the most common illnesses in the world: the headache. If you're like most people, you've probably heard about the three main types of headaches:

1. Tension headache: This is your garden-variety headache, with diffuse pain wrapping across the top of your head. These headaches often result from stress or lack of sleep. They're not usually disabling, typically fade overnight, and can be easily relieved with ibuprofen, acetaminophen, or aspirin.

2. Migraine headache: Migraines tend to hit one side of the head, and can last from several hours to several days. They’re usually marked by a sensitivity to sound and light. When a migraine strikes, you can manage it with Advil Migraine or Motrin Migraine Pain (both ibuprofen medications) or Excedrin Migraine (a combination of aspirin, acetaminophen, and caffeine).

3. Cluster headache: This one is an excruciating attack that explodes behind one eye, reaches a crescendo after about an hour, and then vanishes—only to return in a day or so. This goes on for a few weeks, and then stops for months. Numerous drugs target clusters, including some of the migraine meds.

The good news about these headaches, says Dr. Holt, is that they're all completely harmless. But not every aching head is a simple headache. Here are six that could be a sign of something serious—and potentially deadly. Watch out for . . .

The Thunderclap Headache
If head pain hits you like a bolt out of nowhere, intensifying in a few minutes into the worst headache you've ever had, call 911. The list of causes for this kind of headache isn't long (aneurysm, stroke, meningitis) but almost everything on it can be very quickly fatal, says Dr. Holt.

The Headache that Spreads to Your Neck
Benign headaches stay in your head, says Dr. Holt. Headaches that don't can be meningitis or a hemorrhage. So yes, call 911, especially if you have a fever, are just getting over a bacterial infection, have a rash, or can't think clearly.

The Headache that Won't End
A headache that comes and goes for days—with a low-grade fever, visual disturbances, and aching in one or both of your temples—often signals an inflammation of the arteries that can leave you blind if not treated. See your doctor right away, says Dr. Holt.

The Exercise Headache
If your headache comes on quickly and furiously with violent physical exertion, see a doctor right away. Chances are, the cause is benign, says Dr. Holt. But it also could be a subarachnoid hemorrhage.

The Contagious Headache
Your family is all home on a cold, rainy Saturday. As the day goes on you develop a headache that grows steadily worse. If anyone else has the same headache, move everyone outdoors immediately. There's a malfunction in your heating system and it's spewing carbon monoxide. Once you're out of the house, call the fire department. Your headache should clear up in a few hours.

The Headache that Wakes You Up
On the other hand, Dr. Holt says, you should also be concerned if your headache has been getting worse for several weeks, or if it's present every morning when you wake up. This is the classic pattern for the mass slowly grew. It may not warrant a emergency call, but you should see your doctor and schedule an MRI right away.

Men Who "Mugged" M'sian Student in UK Were Detained

LONDON: British police said Thursday they have arrested a man in connection with the robbery of a Malaysian student during riots in London this week by a group who pretended to be helping him.

The suspect, in his 20s, was taken into police custody as the student, Asyraf Haziq Rosli, insisted he bore no ill feelings about the incident on Monday and intended to stay in Britain until he completes his accountancy studies.

Footage taken of a bleeding Rosli being helped up during unrest in Barking, east London, by a group of men who proceeded to empty his rucksack has become one of the most shocking images of the unrest.

The video has been watched almost three million times on YouTube and the incident prompted condemnation by Prime Minister David Cameron, who said the attack was "disgusting" and showed "there are things badly wrong with our society."

In a statement, Scotland Yard confirmed that a man had been arrested over the attack, which occurred as Rosli, 20, was on his way to see a friend in nearby East Ham who was worried about the rioting.

"Officers have today, Thursday 11 August, arrested a man in connection with an incident whereby a young man was robbed by a group who pretended to help him after he was assaulted during Monday's disorder," Scotland Yard said.

It added: "The suspect, believed to be in his 20s, has been taken into police custody. Inquiries continue."

Rosli underwent surgery for a broken jaw on Wednesday following the attack, and he was discharged from hospital on Thursday morning.

Speaking to reporters afterwards, he said he did not intend to leave Britain now, saying he still thought it was "great" and intended to complete the next two years of studies for his ACCA accountancy exams.

"I plan to finish my study here," Rosli said, although he admitted his family had asked him to return to Malaysia.

"I want my mum to come here and visit me. I spoke to her, she is really worried. She wants me to go back home. I refused," he said.

Asked how he felt about his attackers, Rosli said: "I feel sorry for them. But it was really sad because amongst them there were children, it was very sad. It was quite shocking."

Sony promises to replace the PSP of injured boy who was robbed in the video during the riots of London

Many of the images currently coming out of the London riots are disturbing, to say the least. With the violence spreading to other English cities including Liverpool and Birmingham, the financial toll will be high, but the cost to the average person caught in the riots could be much higher. Stories of family owned businesses occupying buildings that are well over 100 years old but are now charred husks are coming to light, hundreds of people have been arrested and a few deaths have also been reported. But one of the most disturbing images comes from a video shot in Northern London on Monday night, as a young man with a broken jaw, sitting in a pool of blood, is helped to his feet only to be mugged.

Malaysian student, Ashraf Haziq, 20, was walking to see a friend when he was randomly attacked and severely beaten. The attackers broke Haziq’s jaw, knocked out several teeth and stole his bike. As he lay bloody and beaten, a second group approached him, seemingly to help him up, but then proceeded to riffle through his backpack and steal his wallet, phone and a Sony PSP.

The video below has aired several times across Great Britain, and his story has been reported by most of the major newspapers. As a result, Haziq has since become something of a poster boy for the lawlessness and violence of the riots, and many see his attack as symbolic of the nature of the riots themselves.

In response to the incident, a website was created called “Let’s Do Something Nice for Ashraf,” which is asking for donations to be used to help Haziq (there is a poll to decide exactly how best to use the money). The site has gained the attention of many, including Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) marketing director Alan Duncan, who posted to the site that Sony would “like to give him a new PSP and games.”

A rep for SCEE later confirmed with VG247 that they were looking for Haziq, and that Namco Bandai has also pledged to send a package of games to him.

Whether it is a genuinely nice act or a PR stunt, it is a good move by Sony, who have been dealing with their own problems during the London riots. Earlier this week rioters looted and burned a Sony distribution center in Enfield, a borough in Northern London.

Haziq, who has only been in England for a little over a month, is currently recovering in a London hospital and will likely need a metal plate in his jaw following surgery. The police have identified at least one of the men involved in the mugging, and arrests are said to be forthcoming.

Is technology being misused to identify London rioters?

The London riots have taken the country by storm. Yesterday we reported that BlackBerry Messenger had become the communicator du jour of the protesters, who were taking advantage of the private texting application and its encryption features to stay a step ahead of authorities.

This isn’t the first mass demonstration whose participants have utilized technology to aid their cause. Movements in Egypt, Libya, and Syria were among those that took to YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, and cell phones to organize and communicate. But those public outlets are easy to trace, and BBM is believed to be a crucial tool of the London rioters.

It’s also spoken to RIM’s surprising influence. The handset manufacturer has been associated with weak sales and ill-fated gadgets lately, and the BlackBerry has become almost archaic in the younger generation’s eyes. But the smartphone of the enterprise community clearly has a place in London, given its widespread and considerably effective use in the riots. This user allegiance will likely be challenged, however, seeing as RIM is cooperating with Scotland Yard to turn over protestors using the service to coordinate. London attorney Mike Conradi told The Guardian today that, “It would be unlawful of RIM to disclose the contents of messages without a warrant issued by a senior police figure or a secretary of state – but that doesn’t mean [RIM] couldn’t disclose information that would be helpful to the police.”

RIM isn’t the only one willing to help authorities. Google Groups has its own mechanism for identifying guilty parties. A Group called “London riots facial recognition” has been started, and members want to use face recognition technology to find and condemn rioters. Using what are public and legal images, members insist their actions fall within their rights. The group’s description explains: “The police are giving us access to CCTV images of the rioters and looters. Let’s use existing technology like facial recognition and social networks proactively to help the justice process happen a little quicker.” Sites like Flickr, Tumblr, and Twitter are also being used to identify rioters.

London has been overrun by the backlash against Mike Duggan’s death and citizens are being subjected to daily violence, so it’s understandable that some want to aid authorities to quell the situation. But are they overstepping boundaries? Do citizens, who are not the law, have the right to identify alleged suspects this way?

This use of face recognition technology is precisely what outraged Facebook users when the application was introduced to photo tagging. Some of the backlash was attributed to the idea that if Facebook knew what you looked like, coupled with the information it already had about it, this could be used against you by law enforcement. Face recognition technology in general has inspired fears that we are edging closer to a search-by-image system, where you could photography a stranger, enter the image into a database, and be returned with information like a name, location, occupation… the possibilities are endless given the scope of social networks. The group is even talking about using the Facebook and Twitter open graphs for their identification tactics.

But there’s also the argument that technology, in this particular instance, is just making it easier to hold guilty parties responsible for their actions. If face recognition can lead officials to looters who are ransacking local stores or assailants who are armed, maybe that’s just a technological evolution doing its job. The problem is that it’s not that easy. We know that face recognition has its hiccups, and innocent bystanders or even people with similar facial features could find Scotland Yard knocking on their doors. It’s putting a considerable amount of power into the hands of those who are not law enforcement, and while their intentions might be good, the end result would likely be mixed at best. Real Madrid Played 109 Chinese Kids & Won

Beating up on Chinese clubs made up of players their own age apparently got boring for Real Madrid, so they decided to take on 109 Guangzhou children (in honor of Real's 109 year history). Real still won, but only by a score of 2-1.

Though some of their players aren't much taller, this proves that playing Barcelona is definitely tougher than playing 109 Chinese children.

Basics of Playing Paintball

Paintball is a sport that is safe, simple yet challenging and strategic played usually by two teams, each with at least two players. Adults and kids alike enjoy this sport as they often refer to it as the advanced game or improvised game of tag.

Tournaments attract many spectators of all ages, because it is a very interesting game to watch.

Paintball games are of various types, however, the most popular game often played is called "Capture The Flag". The purpose or the goal of the game is for teams to advance to the opponents’ base, move the flag of another team destined location, at the same time guarding your own flag.

The paintball field has many obstacles such as tires, forts, old cars, hay and the newest are inflatable that are constructed as refuge for team players; making the game all the more exciting, as if participating in an actual game of war in videos.

When one is hit, it can hurt briefly and at times give players bruises. Players are typically required to be in long sleeves shirt and pants, making sure that the color is not be identical as that of the judge and complete paintball gear such as mask, helmet and goggles for safety.

The sport of paintball has a distinct and accurate set of rules that are strictly followed. The producer of the tournament is the absolute authority in regard to either an alteration or addition to the rules; marshals oversee the event, and their decision is always final. No dispute on the paintball field is accommodated or entertained.

A military approach to paintball is useless, as the knowledge is recognized and understood by the team. A tactics of the team should be planned carefully; your team assault line will not be known by the opposing team, and there should be a quick switch of plans in case of a problem.

There must be a lot of team work involved, because everyone is moving through the field. As a team member moves, there should be others to guard and keep watch and providing covering fire when needed. A team that moves together with a common purpose will have greater opportunities to succeed in this game.

Communication between your teammates is very important. Don’t be afraid to shout out the position of the enemy to the other members on your team. Once that player is hit, they are out, so be vocal. The moment that a player is seen, the game for that player is up; so there is no reason for you to remain silent; but to tell others the enemy location.

The excitement of the game ends when you are seen and eliminated - a state that all the team players struggle to avoid.

Tips on Buying Old Sports Cars

Tips to Buy Pre-owned Sports Cars

Occasionally the best purchases are made with pre-owned products. This is especially true in the case of sports cars. Many people want to have a sports car mainly for the performance, but some may just want to experience the joy of merely that the only sports car can provide. Buying a brand new sports car may be spending too much for many people, that's why a pre-owned or second hand sports car should be considered.

Here some good advice to buy pre-owned sports cars.

1. Set expectations
Many people go out to buy a pre-owned sports car with a brand new car in mind. Buying pre-owned sports cars is about getting the best value for your money. Knowing your needs and preferences is also a must in buying pre-owned sports cars.

2. Set a budget
Buying a sports car, even pre-owned ones can be expensive Researching through internet browsing or buying buy and sell car magazines can give a buyer a general feeling about the current prices of different sports car models.

3. Examine carefully
A buyer must be careful in inspecting the pre-owned car and take his time doing so. There are four essential elements of the car that should be thoroughly inspected: the interior, the body, the engine, and the papers. A well-maintained sports car is worth buying.
  • Open the hood and examine the car's engine. Many people may not know too much about car electronics but inspection will give a buyer a general feel of how the car has been maintained by the previous owner.
  • Check the inside of the tailpipe. If it is greasy, that means that there is a problem with the engine compression.
  • Check for scratches or dents on the cars body. Of course, do not forget to check the cars title, etc. Missing papers will cost the buyer additional money or prevent the purchase.
4. Test Drive
Before a purchase, the buyer should take the car for a test drive. This is a must for all cars, not only for pre-owned ones. An assessment of the overall handling and performance of the car should be made during the test.

Buying a pre-owned probably the best option in buying a sports car, especially when one is facing budget constraints. Pre-owned sports cars have the potential to provide the same fun and excitement that brand new ones can give. Choose and purchase wisely and have fun while doing so.

History of Paintball Games

Paintball began as a recreational activity but has become so popular it is now as a professional sport. It is a strategy game that mixed with nature, fun, athleticism and a strategy of the team. Paintball has many influences and evolution to get where it is today. Since 1996, extreme sports Paintball stand as the third most popular, behind inline skating and skateboarding.

War games have been around for a long time. These are used to prepare an army for battle or the beginning of a surprise attack. Since people are not able to use real guns in this game, Bob Gurnsey, Hayes Noel, Charles Gaines and nine others decided to play this game by using markers that were originally used to tag cattle and trees. This game originated in 1981.

Later on, markers were used to shoot paintballs at other players. The bullets used for each shot is a .68 caliber gelatin capsule which comes in various colors so that one team can distinguish the shots they fire from those of the opposition. Anyone that gets hit is out of the game.

Paintball has evolved and through the years and  can be played in different ways. In one version of the game teams can one flag each and the other team must capture that flag in order to win. Another game has the same objective as the first will except there is only one flag that is situated in the center of the field and each team tries to be the first to capture the flag. The other way of winning (other than capturing the flag) would be to eliminate all of the players of the opposing team with paintball hits.

The game can be played on a small scale which is called recreational paintball. This is the original way it was played in a wooded area and can be played in an area the size of a basketball court.

If there are many people who want to play and the field is a large area the game is called a scenario. The largest scenario ever was in 2005 on a 700 acre parcel of land and with 3,000 participants.

When a player who participates in a competition sanctioned by a governing body, that competition is called a tournament. Teams can be comprised of 3 to 10 players each. Rules during such events vary so people should check before entering the tournament.

For the safety of those who participate in these events, protective gear is required for each player. It consists of a helmet, chest pad, gloves, and knee and elbow pads. The guns used are only allowed to fire a maximum of 300 feet per second.

Paintball is one game that is gaining ground in the sports world. According to a study done in 2005, it is ranked as the third most popular extreme game in the world. It is considered a safe sport as long as proper equipment is used and people comply with the rules. People who are interested can sign up at the local club and join in the fun.

SEOUL — Samsung Electronics Co launched a thinner and lighter version of its Galaxy tablet in its lucrative home market, trying to chip into blockbuster sales of Apple Inc's iPad.

The Galaxy Tab 10.1 inch is an upgraded version of the 7-inch introduced in October. Priced from US$500 onwards in the US market, the same as the 9.7-inch iPad, it faces tough me-too competition from more than 100 devices, mostly running Google's Android operating system.

However, so far, Apple and Samsung have the market to themselves as tablets, initially viewed as Web entertainment gadget for consumers, have caught the imagination across businesses such as luxury hotels, airlines and wedding planners.

Competing products including Research In Motion'sPlayBook and Motorola's Xoom have received lukewarm reviews, Hewlett Packard's TouchPad is a late entrant and Internet retailer Amazon.com Inc unveiled plans only last week to join the overcrowded market.
Apple's market-beating June-quarter sales for iPad reported on Tuesday underscore the challenge for the South Korean company. Shares in Samsung closed up 3.5%, boosting the market capitalisation of Asia's most valuable technology company to about US$130 billion (RM390 billion), in a strong market for technology stocks.

Apple sold 14 million iPads in the first half of this year, compared with analysts' sales estimates of about 7.5 million units for the Galaxy Tab over 2011.

"Apple's quarterly results showed again it's indeed the strongest rival to beat. Samsung will have a tough second half due to growing competition from Apple as it is set to introduce a new iPhone," said James Song, an analyst at Daewoo Securities.

Distant second

Samsung is Apple's nearest rival in the booming mobile device industry as it leverages its cost competitiveness and access to chips and core tablet components.

It has sharply narrowed the gap with Apple in the smartphone market, but remains a distant second in the tablet market, which research firm Gartner forecasts will surge to 108 million devices next year from an estimated 70 million in 2011.

"As our smartphone business grew very fast within a very short period of time, I believe it's just a matter of time for our tablet business to improve," J.K. Shin, head of Samsung's mobile division, told reporters.

Apple said on Tuesday that concern over iPad 2 supply constraints had eased and demand was still outstripping supply in some markets.

Samsung is leading the non-iPad camp challenging Apple, whose overall tablet market share is expected to shrink to below half in 2015 from an estimated 69% this year, Gartner says.

Some analysts however said Samsung faced a tough race.

"Samsung's overall software is still far behind iPad, which makes me doubt if Samsung can succeed to catch up any time soon," said Lee Min-hee, an analyst at Dongbu Securities.

"Its tablet sales were quite disappointing at around 2 million units in the first half and there's a big question mark whether Samsung can meet its target for this year."

Nomura forecast Samsung's tablet sales at 7.5 million units this year, far outpacing estimates of 2.4 million for Acer, 2 million units for Motorola and 1.4 million units for RIM.

Non-iPad tablet shipments are set to jump 134% next year, outpacing the overall market growth rate of 80%, Nomura said in a 90-page global tablets report titled Prepare for the next course.

The sale of the Tab in Korea is Samsung's fifth launch after its US debut a month ago and its sales kickoff in Indonesia, where the company says it commands a 65% market share. It has also launched the device in Italy and Sweden.

The Galaxy Tab 10.1 runs on Google's newest Android version and Nvidia's dual core processor Tegra 2.

Samsung faces the challenge of moving beyond being a hardware company, clever at copying ideas, to becoming more creative and better adept at software at a time when consumer gadgets are getting smarter.

The Galaxy Tab 10.1 has a bigger and brighter screen and weighs less than the iPad 2. However, it has access to more than 200,000 applications compared with over 425,000 applications from the Apple App store.

To cope with such shortcomings, Samsung equipped its Korean version with access to television and radio channels.

Samsung reiterated on Wednesday it aimed to boost tablet sales by more than five fold this year. It didn't provide specific numbers but analysts expect the company to have sold about 1.5 million units last year.

In South Korea, the 16-gigabyte model with Wi-Fi will be sold for 671,000 won (RM1,910), slightly more expensive than the compatible iPad, which is being sold at around 640,000 won. – Reuters

'Viral' Channel for Facebook Pages Has Launched

With towering rival Google+ received considerable attention in recent years, the juggernaut of social network Facebook has opened a "viral" to promote the growth of the channel, where the legal page may appear as a notification consumer and more likely to get positive answers.

The new feature may benefit administrators of new pages seeking to establish an initial fan base, Facebook news site "Inside Facebook" reported.

"Because these invites generate Facebook and email notifications, they are much more noticeable and could have a higher conversion rate than the Page suggestions admins could previously send that appeared in the 'Recommended Pages' sidebar module that would occasionally appear. However, accepting an invite requires users to click through to a Page," Inside Facebook said.

It said this will be useful for administrators of new Pages, who can add a large number of admins to the pages to increase the number of invites.

"Our initial test of the invite system quickly showed a high conversion rate. This is likely because users see the invites as soon as they log on, and the inclusion of the sender’s photo makes the recipient feel that they’ve received a trusted recommendation," Inside Facebook said.

The site said the feature may trace its roots to 2009, when admins and users could send Page suggestions at the Requests panel on the home page.

But in January 2011, users could no longer send Page suggestions, although admins could still do so.

Facebook removed the Requests panel completely by April.

"Now Facebook has switched back to direct delivery of Page invites. Admins now see an 'Invite Friends' link in the right-hand admin panel when viewing their own Page," Inside Facebook said.

Selected Facebook friends will see the invites as notifications that display the name and photo of the invite sender.

But instead of being presented an option to instantly like the page, recipients are made to click to the Page before they decide whether to Like it.

On the other hand, Inside Facebook said Facebook has to balance "free, viral" fan acquisition channels with its paid Page advertising services.

"Too much virality pollutes the user experience, but too little can make marketing on the site seem to expensive," it said. — GMA News

As the ball rolled into the net, the Lebanon goalkeeper could only watch and do nothing. As a result, the UAE manager didn't like the kick and immediately substituted Diab out of the match.

Top 10 Ugliest Buildings In The World

Beauty may be in the eye of the beholder, but then again, so is ugliness and the members and editors of travel website VirtualTourist.com have some very strong opinions about buildings that fall into the latter category.

With this in mind the site has announced its third annual list of the world’s top 10 ugliest buildings and asked Mark Baez, A.I.A. and Principal Project Designer at Venice, California-based M Designs to comment on the final list.

Of one particularly unsightly choice Baez asked “An exercise in geometry in dire need of an exorcism?”

Reuters has not endorsed this list:

1. Sheffield Hallam University; Sheffield, UK

Resembling a mash up of a Jiffy Pop package, a salad spinner, and a food processor, this unusual complex was originally built as the National Centre for Popular Music. When it closed down after just over a year of business it was sold to Sheffield Hallam University and is now the school’s student union.

2. Grand Lisboa Hotel; Macau

With a solid resemblance to the “I Dream of Jeannie” lamp, this flashy structure can at least be admired for its campiness. As if it weren’t flashy enough as is, the exterior actually lights up with over one million colourful LED lights.

3. M2 Building; Tokyo-to, Japan

A creation of lauded Japanese architect Kengo Kuma, the M2 is disjointed, depressing and downright dirty. VirtualTourist.com member “robertbaum” said it all: “The building seems to be used by a funeral service provider.”

4. Spruce Tree Center; Saint Paul, Minnesota

Proving that it’s not easy being green, the Spruce Tree Centre is like an 80s version of the Emerald City. Occupying a significant chunk of city real estate, it almost forces residents to look at it.

5. Palace of Justice; Florence, Italy

It’s almost impossible to believe that the same city that’s home to the Uffizi, the Basilica di Santa Maria del Fiore, and the Ponte Vecchio could also be home to this. While it would be a blight almost anywhere, this structure, which looks like three buildings that got into a wreck with each other, seems especially out of place here.

6. Whitney Museum of American Art; New York City, New York

While many praise this building’s simplicity, others much prefer the aesthetics on the inside. Followers of VirtualTourist’s Ugly Buildings lists may be distressed to learn that the museum’s new building was designed by Renzo Piano, architect of the Pompidou Center which appeared on the list two years ago.

7. Industriens Hus; Copenhagen, Denmark

Whether this advertising-covered box is seen in the harsh light of day or glowing in all its neon glory at night, it’s hard to know which is the best (or worst) state in which to view it. Smack dab in the middle of the city, it’s all but impossible to avoid.

8. Hong Kong Museum of Art; Kowloon, Hong Kong

It’s the non-descript factor of this building that seems to bother its critics the most. While it may be bland and featureless on the outside, inside it’s a dynamic and fascinating place with over 15,000 separate works of art.

9. Van Gogh Museum; Amsterdam, The Netherlands

The bland, almost colourless facade of this museum has little to do with the vibrant, expressive works of the artist to whom it pays tribute. Resembling half of a half-open hatbox, this building looks as if it has yet to be completed.

10. Plattenbauten; Germany

Pre-fab, a term that can set the heart of an architect aflutter, is given new meaning in parts of Germany. Glum and impersonal, these charmless apartment buildings which are remnants of the city’s communist past look more like storage units than dwellings. Mercifully, many are being either renovated or torn down. — Reuters

Fast Money Personal Loans

There are several ways to protect the personal loan will be quickly explained in detail in this article. You can borrow from friends or relatives alone. Usually, this is not a good idea, because it often creates friction between the both of you. If for any reason you cannot pay back the loan on time, you become confused and start to play "hide and seek" with your friend or family member. Your friends or relatives get angry that you are late and apparently did not have sufficient knowledge to talk about. This will eventually destroy your relationship. Especially if your friends start to ignore you.

Shop mortgage loans money mortgage personal property. Take your stereo, television, jewellery or other item of value of a pawn shop. They give him the cost of credit. Typically the cost of credit is a way below the actual value of the property. If you agree, a pawn shop keeps your property and gives you the agreed amount of the loan. This interest is usually high. If you do not repay the sum of many pawnshops offer a minimum amount of payment. This is usually the payment of interest. Then re-loan amount + interest to you and give you another 30 days to repay. It becomes very expensive. If you default on the loan, usually within the grace period where you can still buy your property if you pay for public comment.

Post-dated checks as collateral against your loan were accepted by these companies.  They charge very high interest rate, but they will give you a loan. The total loan amount, which can borrow based on how much you make. Credit is due date of your next salary. If you do not repay the loan, the company will send your postdated check to your bank to collect payments from your bank account. Not only do you pay high fees, but also the risk of additional charges of overdrawing your account. Often, these types of loans extended to 6 times in a row. You just pay and re-borrow when the time comes to pay. They are really desperate loans. It is violent and should be avoided.

There are other types of loans such as payday loans, only it is attached to the title of your vehicle. If you have a clear title can be borrowed against the value of it. Of course, if you do not pay, you lose your vehicle.

You can also request for an advance against your wages. For personal emergencies, some companies offer this to their employees. Or you can check with your financial institution will be offering small personal loans. If you do not have a real emergency, and must receive cash immediately, it makes sense not to borrow money through any of these funds. They all carry some risk and very expensive. It is better to postpone the purchase, you can afford.

Why PageRank is Not Important?

A detailed video explanation about some of the misunderstandins related to Google PageRank has been discussed by Matt Cutts from Google Webmaster Help. As more and more consumers  turns into the content, quality of content is dropping down at large scale because most people today discuss SEO tips without any authority. It is very important to practice SEO tips from the web site that provides resources available to claim. Over the past few years, Google censor websites are trusted by the PageRank algorithm and give more importance to them and thus sending them more traffic. The PageRank has opened up a large network of Link building SEO companies and services. Almost everywhere a new bloggers today are giving more importance to PageRank and fresh quality the content.

Is PageRank important?

Yes it is important but not more than your content. You can receive thousands of visitors per day with PR0. I have friends in my networks who are full-time bloggers and earning hell lots of money without having to worry about rankings such as PR and Alexa at all. Because their power tool is to post frequently. The more you post the content, the more you receive a good traffic. If you are destroying your precious hours in looking for backlinks or exchange links and not posting consistently then you are close to nothing.

PageRank and Alexa are important only when you have quality content and Traffic. Amazingly both your traffic and Content are independent of solely Rankings but depend a lot on what you write and publish. Advertisers look for three things when they buy an ad spot:
1. Traffic
2. Alexa
3. PageRank
But Google AdSense looks for just one thing and that is Traffic.

Unless you have quality content both your PR and Alexa are useless. Because only with quality content you get lifetime quality organic Traffic. There are many blogs and websites with PageRank 6.0 in Buysellads directory yet they are not even earning a penny because they spent there great skills on ranking alone and under-estimated the value of good posts, content and shares and as a result ended their careers with hopelessness. My short personal experience says that if there anything that matters more is Traffic. Writing on things that attract people is what I call Blogging.

Here is a video by the Google software engineer Matt Cutts, where he answered questions about why Google Toolbar PageRank values are not updated more frequently? In the same video, you will find the answer in which he confirmed that the content is more important than PageRank.

Insanely Fast RC Tubine Jet...

Hello guys, do you know what the most expensive hobbies for RC lovers? If someone would ask me a questions like that, I will certainly give a simple answer - RC Turbine Engine. Do you know why? Let's check it out!!

The principle of how model turbine engines work or any turbine engine is very simple. They suck in a lots of air then compress it with high pressure. After that, add fuel to the compressed air, and then ignite the compressed air/fuel mixture. Seeing that the air is so highly compressed, more fuel per volume of air ratios are possible.

When more fuel is added, the more heat and gas expansion generated causing the turbines spin quicker, then vacuum and compressing air even more. The final result is lots of hot compressed expanding air to extend at the back of the engine – THRUST! (This is why turbine engines are so powerful).

Turbine powered RC jets are not for the newcomer. They are only for pilots who have accumulated a lot of flying experience with ducted fan jets.

Although it is a very expensive segment of the RC hobby, turbine RC jets increasingly popular due to their sounds and smells so much like the real thing.

FYI, turbine RC jets can approach speeds of 300+ miles/h @ 483+ km/h (more quicker than Bugatti Veyron) and they can get up to altitude very quickly - nearly half speed of sound!!
Let's see what I mean for:
Radio controlled jet powered by a Jetcat P160 SE. On the 23rd of May, this Jet has been lasered @ 586 KpH Which makes it a 366 MpH plane...

*The jet itself is being powered by a Jetcat P160 SE turbine engine, and this thing really moves. Its crazy to see how fast it takes off on the rail once the guy releases it, and then its gone from sight. Its hard to tell how fast it is traveling, but I would estimate a couple hundred miles per hour.

Turbine RC jets also require precautions that are not normally associated with ducted fan RC jets. They use the real jet fuel and the engine can get very hot like the actual jet engine. It has been a major touch of realism to the RC jet, and the units produced commercially for use in radio control are now widely available and becoming more common.
